newborn and sibling heart train track wood
What are your prices and packages?

You can find my current list of prices at packages on my website under the investment tab.

How far in advance should you book your session?

At this point in my life I’m a full time mother and part time photographer.  I take a limited number of sessions each month and book on average 4-6 weeks in advance.  If you are pregnant and expecting, please contact me 2-3 months before your due date to book your newborn photos.   Family mini sessions are available on a limited basis, I will post on my FB page if they become available.

How do can I book a session?

Please use the contact tab on my website to inquire about availability.

How to do I pay my retainer and sign my contract to secure my appointment?

After we’ve settled on a date, I will email you an invoice to pay your retainer online, as well as contract to sign electronically.  Sessions are held for 24 hours to allow you a chance to complete these tasks.

I have older children who I would like you to photograph with my newborn. Can you?

Yes!  I ask that if you wish to have siblings photographed with your newborn, that you let me know PRIOR to our session. There is an additional charge of $65 for the extra time, editing and images added.  These photos will be done at the beginning of the session and someone must be available to take your child/children home following the photos.  Children do not tolerate the heat or length of a newborn session well and often become distracted in the studio.  Please keep in mind that although I will attempt sibling poses, that this is not the focus of a newborn session.  Please do not set expectations high for young children, as they often have difficulty following direction and are uncomfortable holding their new sibling.

What types of payments do you accept?

I currently accept cash, check, credit card and Apple Pay. You will be invoiced online appx 1 week prior to your session. Payment due by the date of your session.  .

What if I need to reschedule?

Because of the nature of my job and the exposure I have to newborns, I ask if ANYONE is sick, that you not bring them to your session. Please contact me ASAP to cancel and reschedule with as much notice as you can give.  Unfortunately, August-November are my busiest months with the least flexibility to reschedule.

What about the weather?

I will be watching the forecast closely as your session approaches.  Often times it changes rapidly as the week progresses, so any cancelations will be made the evening before your appointment or morning of depending on the severity of the weather at the moment.  I save a few dates each month for rescheduling due to bad weather.

What should we wear?

It’s best to keep clothing simple, avoiding logos and busy patterns.  Stay away from bright or neon colors that give unflattering color casts on the skin.  I always suggest layers and textures in group photos with coordinating colors vs matching colors.  Dark socks are ideal with jeans and dark shoes.

What should I bring?

For children, outfit changes, a drink, favorite toy, treats, snacks, iPad any anything or anyone who you think would be helpful during our session.  Please make sure your little one has been fed and napped prior to our session if possible.  I will email a separate prep guide for newborn and senior sessions.

When and where will the photos be taken?

Weather permitting, we can do almost any session outdoors at the location of your choice (with the exception of newborns).  We can work together to plan the perfect location.  Outdoor sessions are planned around the gorgeous available light and times vary by the season.  You can plan on our session starting appx 1-2 hours prior to sunset.  Family sessions are never done in the studio, and there for usually take place June-Nov when family mini’s are being offered.  I will pin a post to the top of my FB page when family minis are being offered.

Newborns are best photographed between 3-14 days following birth.  These sessions take place at my studio and are usually scheduled on Thursday and Friday mornings.

When will our session be ready to view?

Online galleries will be posted on my client proofing page and an email with your link and password will be sent approximately 3 weeks following your session.

What if we want to purchase prints, canvases or albums?

I have several samples in my studio and would be happy to set up an appointment with you following your session to help you plan out how to display your new art work. You will also have the option to purchase any prints, cards, announcements, albums, canvases, digital files ect directly from the online gallery.  You can select the items and sizes you’d like, pay for them online and have them shipped directly to you.  You can also share the link to the gallery with friends and family.
